Employee Crashes

Driven to Distraction from The Legal Edge, SmartCEO Magazine

My new column, The Legal Edge, just debuted in SmartCEO magazine.  This month, I discuss “Tweet Justice,” explaining how your business could be at risk if an employee crashes while texting (or talking or tweeting). The statistics are scary. The risk of collision increases 23 times when you go from driving responsibly to texting while driving. You wouldn’t let workers drive drunk, so why would you let them text while behind the wheel? There’s plenty more in the article, including eye-opening cases where distracted driving cost companies millions.
