Businesses Buying Businesses: Taking Advantage of Mergers

One of the reasons I wrote, “How to Build a Business and Sell It for Millions,” was that I foresaw a significant increase in the number of  cash-rich companies being purchased by larger companies.  If there is anything that validates my prediction, it’s the AT&T and T-Mobile merger.  AT&T just reached a definitive agreement to purchase T-Mobile in a cash-and-stock transaction valued at approximately $39 billion.  The deal is expected to take up to one year to close and will make AT&T the largest cellular carrier in the U.S.

SmartCEO: Big Brother to your Employees

The digital age has transformed the way we do business. Much if not all of our critical information is on servers and online, and that can be a double-edge sword. Skype Your Stresses

On this blog I discusses the unique, puzzling and often complex issues that business owners face. Being an entrepreneur means contending with every challenge imaginable, even trying to think of the problems you haven’t considered yet. Be Ready For That Big Payday

One of the most important lessons to learn in business is to keep your eye on selling your company from day one. You should make decisions based on selling your company down the road, not on what gets your business through the first day, month or year. I was recently interviewed on this very topic by Entrepreneur Magazine. The article  is called “Plan Your Exit Strategy: A guide to building an exit strategy into your business from the start”.
